Lead Renovator (RRP) Initial Certification - Westbury, NY
MANDATORY REQUIREMENT: To renew your Nassau County Home Improvement Contractor license, a current EPA Lead Renovator (RRP) certification is required. This is the class to take for your Nassau County Lead certification.
Individuals in need of lead paint certification to comply with the EPA's Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule are required to take this 8-hour training course to learn about the importance of containment and using lead-safe work practices. This course is intended for all contractors and professionals responsible for projects performed on pre-1978 residential properties or child-occupied facilities such as daycares, elementary schools, and pre-schools. Lead certification applies to firms that disturb more than six square feet of lead paint or coated surfaces, and firms not lead-safe certified are subject to fines of up to $37,500 per day.
